Yeast Nutrient

Yeast nutrient is one or a combination of vitamins and minerals used to help the yeast get a healthy start during fermentation. Most yeast nutrient available in homebrew supply shops contain one or more of the following: magnesium, diammonium phosphate, a combination of B vitamins (thiamin, niacin, folic acid, calcium pantothenate), nitrogen, potassium, urea, and/or yeast hulls.
