Vienna

Vienna. (vee-eh'-nuh)

    1. An amber-colored, bottom-fermented beer originally brewed in Austria where it is now rare and known as Spezial to differentiate it from the classic version. Vienna-style lagers, still brewed in South America and Mexico, are amber-colored, lightly hopped, malty, and fairly strong (± 4.4 percent alcohol by weight or 5.5 percent by volume). 2. A term often synonymous with Märzen.
