Pale Crystal Malt

pale crystal malt. (peiyl'kri'-stel mohlt')

    A form of crystal malt used with pale beers; it is prepared by drying green malt at high temperature after saccharification but without curing. Larger amounts than 10 percent impart a disagreeable flavor to the beer. Syn: CaraPils.
