Northern Brewer
Northern Brewer. (nohr'-dhern broo'-wer)
1. A variety of hops grown in Kent, England, containing 8/5–11 percent alpha acids. It also is grown in Washington and Oregon with an alpha acid content of 9.5–10.5 percent and a beta acid content of 4.5–5.5 percent. 2. The title of a periodical published by the Canadian Amateur Brewers Association.
