Malzbier
Malzbier. (malts'-beegh)
In Germany, a dark, sweet, aromatic malt beverage containing only .5-1.5 percent alcohol by weight. Not a true beer but rather a tonic once brewed for children and nursing mothers, yet now enjoyed by sportsmen and health-conscious people. Examples include: Mumme, Karamalz, Vitamalz.
