Lupulin

Lupulin. (loo'-pyuh-lin)

What appears as finely granular yellow powder at the base of each flower petal of the hop cone. It contains essential oils and bitter resins that impart bitterness and aromatic flavor to a beer along with a sterilizing quality. See also alpha acid, beta acid, hops.
