    1. A drinking vessel similar to a chalice, with a deep bowl on a proportionately short stem, without a handle, and which has a capacity, in English glassware, or 1 gill or more. 2. In modern stemware classification, the goblet is the tallest glass and holds 9-12 fluid ounces.
