Fermenter

A fermenter is any vessel in which fermentation takes place.

Common types of fermenters include:
[Bucket Fermenter]
Carboy
[Conical Fermenter]

Fermentation often takes place in multiple vessels, where initial fermentation takes place in a Primary Fermenter where most of the sugars in the wort are consumed by the yeast, it is then racked to a Secondary Fermenter to condition.  Racking removes the wort from Yeast and Trub which can produce off flavors.
