Carboy

carboy. (kar’-boy)
A large, narrow-necked glass, plastic, or earthenware bottle sometimes encased in wicker or in a plastic or wood frame. Glass carboys, such as those used in homebrewing for secondary or single-stage (blowby) fermentation, should never be filled with hot wort (210 °F, 98 °C) because they cannot withstand thermal shock.
