Carbonator

carbonator. (kar-buh-nei'-ter)

    An apparatus in the carbonated beverage industry for introducing carbon dioxide gas into water or sugared water. The efficiency of this apparatus is measured by comparing the quantity of carbon dioxide injected into a liquid to the amount absorbed by that liquid; this ratio should be as close as possible to 95 percent.
