capper. (kae'-per)

    1. A general name for instruments used for capping (sealing) beer bottles, usually with crown seals. Syn: bottle capper. 2. Often refers to a hand tool used with a hammer as opposed to a two-handled capper or hand-lever capper. See also: hammer capper.
